The mosquito-borne disease has killed 31 people so far, according to the health department. One person has died in the last 24 hours (from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday). During this time, 260 people were admitted to the hospital with dengue and its symptoms.
This information was given in the press release of the health department on Thursday. In the last 24 hours, 240 patients were admitted to Dhaka, and 30 outside Dhaka were infected with dengue.
As per the government, 1,238 dengue patients are now admitted to the hospitals of the country. Of these, 1,145 dengue patients are admitted to 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka and 93 more in other departmental hospitals.
A total of 6,251 people have been admitted to various hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. At the same time, 5,962 people recovered from the hospital.
