Walton Laptop Scholarships: Bangladeshi super brand Walton has announced a multi-crore scholarship for students. From June 1, students who purchase a Walton laptop, computer, tablet PC, desktop, or all-in-one computer will have a guaranteed scholarship. Under this project, the laptop division of Walton DG-Tech Industries Limited will provide at least Tk 1 crore to the students in the next three months. Here, students will get a scholarship from Tk 2,000 to a maximum of Tk 1 lakh for each Walton digital device purchase.

On this occasion, they organized an inaugural function at the Walton Corporate Office in Bashundhara on Sunday (May 30), following proper hygiene rules. The Chief Minister inaugurated the ‘Walton Laptop Crore Taka Scholarship’ project online as the chief guest. Dipu Moni. State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain was the special guest.

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that even though the educational institutions are closed because of corona, online and television teaching is on. However, because of the lack of adequate digital devices, it was impossible to reach 100% of the students. Here, Walton’s multi-crore scholarship and interest-free installment facility will make digital devices easily available. Walton’s initiative is highly commendable. This is good news for students and the education system.

He added Walton is a domestic company, a super brand. Walton is showing the way in the digital device sector; Leading in this sector. Walton is contributing significantly in taking Digital Bangladesh forward. I wish them success.

State Minister Zakir Hossain said Walton has been producing digital devices in Bangladesh since 2016. They are meeting the demand of the country and exporting digital devices. As a result, Bangladesh is being branded. We hope that the technology sector like Garments will be one of the export sources of Bangladesh through Walton.

As a result, students can easily run their educational activities at home.

He said students would register digitally with their own or their parents’ mobile number after purchasing a laptop, computer, tablet PC, desktop, or all-in-one computer from any Walton showroom in the country. Then Authority will send an SMS to their mobile informing the amount of scholarship money through software-controlled automated processing. They will receive the scholarship money in cash or adjust the price of the purchased product.
